Calcot, Theale & Area Children’s Centre
Calcot, Theale & Area Children’s Centre (Curtis Road, Calcot, Reading RG31 4XG) opened Spring 2009 in a purpose built building, attached to Calcot infant school. It is quite a lot smaller than the Waterloo meadows centre where the Friday toddler group is held. There are double doors at the main entrance, so no problems for double buggies and space to leave buggies inside the foyer. The reception area has sofas, a resident teddy and an area with chairs and a large table that can be divided off from reception for courses or meetings. The sliding door leads to the main room, used as the toy library twice a week (all the toys are available for us to use at sessions) and has a kitchen attached. You can make your own hot drinks and juice/squash (20p donation to the centre). The toilet and baby change is off the main room too. During the school holidays, if the weather is nice, they open the doors so that we can use the school playground and the outdoor toys.

New Art/Craft session for twins or more
On the first Thursday of every month 10-11.30am ‘Multiples Make & Do’ is a new session for twins and their siblings, all ages welcome. There will be a different theme to each month and different art & craft materials to experiment with.

Babies group
On the first Monday of every month 10-12 Reading Twins plus club hosts a babies group at the Calcot Centre.
